Community Service
Friedman Brueggemeyer is a small local business committed to a positive contribution to the community. Our involvement has developed over the years to include many aspects of life.
Both Amy and Matthew have been involved in their local public schools, volunteering their efforts to promote equity and excellence.
When both Amy and Matthew's daughters were students at Beth El’s religious school, they organized the 6th grade class to create new hand made wooden toys for the Habitot Museum in downtown Berkeley.
When FB worked on a non-profit project for homeless youth in Concord last year, they organized several community workdays to complete a beautiful privacy fence around the garden area. The group included employees, spouses and children. Amy's daughter organized a group of local teens to prepare welcome baskets for the homeless teens.
Amy and Matthew don't get the chance to work with their tools much these days. But when Friedman Brueggemeyer completed Mi Casa, a home for emancipated youth, they volunteered several days to complete a privacy fence for the courtyard.
